James Oconner
Editor-in-Chief & Film Critic
James Oconner is the Editor-in-Chief and primary film critic at Orime. Born in Delhi in 1992, he studied Modern Literature and later earned a diploma from the Holden School before completing a master’s thesis on “Film Criticism in the Age of YouTube.”
James briefly worked as a high school English teacher before turning his attention fully toward film, digital media, and entertainment journalism. At Orime, he writes reviews and editorial pieces while also following the wider changes taking place in modern cinema and the entertainment industry.
Jonathan Millar
TV & Streaming Journalist
Jonathan Millar is a journalist and former Film History instructor at Jadavpur University who focuses on television and streaming for Orime.in. He has been writing about screen culture since 2008, covering everything from prestige television to genre shows and the changing way audiences watch and talk about TV.
His work at Orime includes reviews, critical essays, and longer pieces looking at contemporary television and streaming trends. He has a particular interest in the shows that don’t fit neatly into one category, as well as the bigger ideas hiding underneath popular entertainment.
Anil Krishna
Cinema & Television Critic
Anil Krishna has worked as a film journalist and critic since 2008, with writing published in film publications including Film TV and Best Movie. He studied at Jadavpur University in Kolkata, where he also taught Film History and conducted research focused on Trauma Studies.
Anil joined Orime.in in 2026 and now covers movies, television, and streaming. His writing moves across different kinds of programming, from ambitious prestige dramas and high-concept series to classic detective shows and genre entertainment. He brings an academic background to his criticism, but the goal is still fairly simple: to make the writing useful and interesting for people who actually watch this stuff.
